Huna praying

When you begin praying in the Huna way, it is necesary to design your prayer with care. You want the words to connect to your Lower Self (child), in an effective way. Take time to think about what you really want to come into your life and write it down.

Many ask, what should they pray for? Huna emphasizes balance. Huna prayer is effective in many aspects of your life, and once you learn how to gather mana and direct a prayer, you can put this to work for you in any area. Knowing what to pray for, however, is a product of wisdom that may take many years to learn and that utimately has to do with who and what you are. You know by now that it is against Huna ethics o pray for anything that might affect another person, either directly or indirectly. You know the cardinal rule that Huna pracitioners never hurt any form of life with intent or hatred. Combine these two with the concept of balance inall things, and you have the basic guidance for Huna prayer.

Most people naturally want things to manifest in their lives. As long as you follow the basic guideline of hurting no one or nothings, of non-interference, and of always working for the highest good, and you keep the Higer Self involved, you can pray for anything. Let your higher wisdom guide you, your Higher Self and help you to determine what to ask for and how it will mainfest. Be aware when you pray that you are likely to recieve what you ask for, but it must be suitable for you, and you must be able to handle it for it to do you any good.

Charlotte Berney suggests making two sets of goals for yourself: immediate and long range. Ask yourself what you want to come into your life now and where you would like to be in five or ten years. Spend a great deal of a time thinking about your goals. Write your goals down. Begin visualizing them and setting prayer in motion. Material goals require mana to be gathered; personal spiritual goals simply need to be expressed.

The best prayer-requests are very simple and straightforward. You can ask for optimum health for your body, a life of great abundance, a loving companion, a harmonious relationship, confidence in yourself, or spiritual insight. Emphasize the positive aspects of your request.

The more you can visualize what you want, the better, though when it comes to wanting people to come into your life, do not be specific. Picture yourself already having whatever you want to come into your life.

Once you have visualized yourself as already having something, hold it in your mind, and do not change it. Feel that you already have it in your life. Do not question how or where it will come to you, and never doubt that you will have it. Pray for the highest good of all.

If praying for another, always ask their permission to help in the healing process, send mana to your own Higher Self and ask that the mana be shared with the person's Higher Self to effect healing. Pray regularly and send an abundance of mana. Never visualize disease or disability and ask that it be healed. Always visualize the body or body part as healthy and normal and picture the person healed and happy.

Though Kahuna's in old Hawaii did do chants and ritual to affect the weather, this is not advisable in our day and time. Our world is too interdependent, and a change in one place might cause problems in another. Also, there are natural patterns beyond the understanding of individual minds and their agendas, and it is not wise to interfere with these. In times of stressful weather, when storm, floods, fores. or earthquakes threaten, pray to your guides and Higher Self and ask that the highest good be done for the area affected. Better still , ask that the entire planet's weather and geology be balanced for the highest good of the earth and the beings who live here.

When I am in prayer and praying for the planet, I pour my light out like a wave, and wrap it around the planet. I do not focus on a particular incident happening. I am always greeted with thanks form this light being which is a guardian of the earth, though she appears very young.

Sharing Wisdom

See that Man is like the fool in the Tarot card

wandering along...

A vagabond going his own way

And he carries a bag containing universal

knowledge

But he doesn't open it

And he walks towards a precipice

For he can so easily fall into the bondage of

material desires

And the sun, like his spirit, rises behind him

But it never reaches its zenith

For if it does, it will descend and decrease its

power...

Give yourself powerful keys to ponder...

Regeneration

Reincarnation

Revival

Renewal

Resurrection

Surround yourself with the yellow light of sun

For you need not leave your own space to fly and expand

Reach out and touch the universe

And look down on small troubles...for they

will melt in your heart-fire

For the sun of pure consciousness shines in the

chambers of your heart like a self-luminous

spirit, a sun of suns

It is the inner self that transcends words and thoughts

And once you realize its presence, you will no

more return to this world of birth and death

And the truth will ring inside you, nobody

comes and nobody goes

The soul exists forever

Burn through your fears and delusions with the

power of enquiry

Have the courage to always climb upwards

Aspire to the higher world

And know that courage itself is power

Your Personal Link

Your Higher Self is your personal link to your Source, or your God or Goddess and to the more expanded realms which are always available to you. There are many other cosmic beings who also assist. Your guides are those beings in spirit form who assist you and their wisdom can be accessed on a personal level. During a space of silence, you can make contact with your guides, learn their names if they choose to be known by a name. There are also beings that you are connected to that are more guardians that are also in spirit and they look after your welfare and help with protection if need be. In old Hawaii, guides and guardians often took the form of deceased relatives, totem animals and elements of nature. Gods and goddesses may also function as guides or guardians to you.

Angels are highly evolved beings who perform nurturing roles on a cosmic level. They often appear spontaneously when needed but their help can also be requested. Archangel Michael, a universal being, is a special helper to students of Huna and can be called on for help in difficult situations.

As you begin o spend more time in the silence and to work with your own Higher Self, you make yourself open to the benevolent effects of your guides, guardians, and angels on a daily basis. The Po'e Aumakua, or higher Selves, can be called on for assistance when the request is for larger societal or global chances.

The obstacles one is likely to encounter in this process of dialoguing with the Higher Self in the silence are fears and harmful basic assumptions. The Kahuna compared these to knots in a cord that prevented the free flow of energy along the cord. These knotty problems can originate from a variety of sources: from childhood, from a past trauma, from your training or education, and even from past lives. They encompass everything from embarrassing incidences to mindless terrors. They often take the form of faulty basic assumptions and severely limiting beliefs. Everyone has been exposed to these obstacle-creating experiences in their lives. Huna offers techniques to begin to undo the knots and release them.

As with every Huna practice, you start off simply and advance to the more complex. One way to begin eliminating blocks is to make amends and seek forgiveness for all the hurt you have ever done in your life. Sit down and make a list of all the people you have hurt in the past. If they are still alive, ask their forgiveness in person or in a letter. If appropriate, make amends on the material level with a gift or some form of recompense. If the persons have passed on, go into the silence and ask for forgiveness in ritual fashion, then make a gift of goods or money to a relevant charity in their name. For example, many people feel guilty for something they did or did not do for one or both of their parents while they were alive. Go into the silence and ask the parent's forgiveness. The next day, give a donation to the parent's favorite charity in his or her name.

A forgiveness dialogue might go like this: I may not know all the pain and hurt I have caused you and I sincerely regret it. I did not have the awareness I have now. Today, in the presence of my Basic Self, and Higher Self, my guides, angels, and guardians, I ask for forgiveness to make amends. I am truly sorry for your hurt and the ways in which I participated in it, and I sincerely as your forgiveness. I am letting go of all my guilt and shame I had because of this hurt to you. Let us both ascend to a place of light and walk our paths in peace. Let us both be released. So be it. It is done.

Spend time with this and do it with sincerity and a heartfelt desire to receive forgiveness for what you have done. Ask forgiveness of each person one at a time, in separate sessions until you have asked and received forgiveness from all of those you believe you have hurt. At the end, do a general ritual in which you ask forgiveness of all the people you have ever hurt in your life, including yourself, by thought, word or deed, both known and unknown to you, throughout all time. Ask that you be released from the hurt and guilt , and ascend to a place of light.

The next step is to make a list of all the people who have hurt you. Write out a description of the hurts that caused you pain in the past and the people associated with them. See if you can understand what was really going on. How were they mirroring you and vice versa? Did you contribute to being hurt? See the hurt in perspective. Then if possible, contact the person and forgive them face to face, by telephone, or in a letter. If this is not possible, do the ritual at home for each individual.

Go into the silence, with a picture of the person nearby if possible. Imagine them sitting there with you. Ask both the Basic Self and the Higher Self to be present, as well as your guides, angels, and guardians. Explain to the person, as though they were sitting beside you, about the hurt you suffered, and address them in this way: You will probably never know all of the pain and hurt I suffered that involved you.You did not have this teaching, and we are all learning and evolving. With this awareness, and in the presence of the Basic and Higher Selves, my guides, angels, and guardians, I fully and sincerely forgive you for my hurt and suffering. I acknowledge my feelings of anger and resentment and release these emotions to the universe to be transmuted to a higher vibration. I truly forgive you. We are now at peace. Let us ascend to a place of light. So be it. It is done.

In doing these ritual's, it may be necessary to go beyond individuals and forgive whole races of people for hurts to you or by you. For example, of you are Jewish, you may want to forgive all Germans, of you are Native American or African-American, all white people. If you feel guilty about the wrongs done to a group of people by your own group, you may want to ritually ask forgiveness of the entire group.. Group guilt and group victim hood can cause your Basic Self to feel unworthy and ashamed. Hurts and hatred can go back a long way and be part of your lineage and even your cellular makeup. But even these can be released.

Know that when you are asking for forgiveness and forgiving others, you are erasing is your Basic Self's load of negativity, which can only cause you harm and dysfunction. Stored anger, hatred, shame , and guilt rankle in the soul and become toxic. No matter what the acts of the past were or how badly hey affected you, the only health-giving way is to sincerely forgive, be forgiven, and move on.

Abundance

Huna teaches harmony between the spiritual and the material worlds, and you can manifest abundance for yourself. In order to create abundance you must first do the work with your inner child to allow for the releasing of your negative attitudes towards money. If not, the assumptions held by your inner child will negate the effects of the abundance you are wanting to draw.
As you identify your attitudes (which are often similar to your parents attitudes), and release any negative ideas, you are them able to perform an abundance ritual. Since the child self is very symbolic oriented, you can wear green or gold to hold the vibration of abundance and this will help shift your inner child thoughts. Take four deep breaths exhaling slowly and ask that your inner child to help you to fully participate and also ask for assistance and the presents of your Higher self. Visualize yourself surrounded the things you are wanting-with so much of it that you have plenty for yourself and others. Smile at the sight of so much abundance. Take note of any feelings of discomfort you have or feelings of not deserving and address those.

Once you are feeling comfortable surrounded by your wantings, begin celebrating the beauty and quantity of it and that every being on Earth has an exhaustible supply. See the smiles on others faces as they take their gifts and go away happy. After you have supplied everyone on Earth with as much as the will ever need, look down at your feet and see yourself surrounded by the green mana. Repeat to your child self "by name", we are surrounded by superabundance in our lives and we will never run out, we are living in a state of total abundance. All abundance is ours, and we are rich beyond measure. So be it. It is done".

You will find generosity creates more abundance in your life than any other practice. When you give freely , you acknowledge the richness of the universe that you are a part of. Giving away part of your income to help others, you will see it return to you the many times fold.
Be aware of the belief that money can transform your life, that it will unlock your unhappiness. This way of thinking emphasizes a perceived lack and only creates more lack. Begin by figuring out just exactly what it is you want to do in your life, then make it happen. Don't let not having the money deter you. If your problem is poor living conditions or the need for better transportation, begin planning, even in a very modest way to make a change for the better in those areas. In other words, do the abundance ritual and manifest the monies and also begin working on making your dreams come true. You do not need to wait until you manifest money for your goals. Rather, you can manifest them directly and have money too.

First you will See Only Darkness

With all the transformation going on, and people expressing opinions and concerns, sometimes it is much easier to just post a poem of wisdom, verses adding my two cents into the already chaotic mix of ideas and thoughts. We are experiencing a birth!

For at first you will see only darkness

Know that only by learning to hold and balance both light and shadow, goodness and evil, will you become integrated

For even as your polarities war violently and sweep you up in a whirlwind of anxiety and
tension...

still a new third force will emerge from it all
and heal the wounds that split you asunder

Consciously embrace the new energies that flood you

Discover your true self and strengthen it

Take old repressed feelings and needs out into
the light

Acknowledge them

Name them and accept them with compassion

Then they can evolve and transform...

And if misery is your shadow

And you find no happiness in yourself

The surest way to contentment is to forget your
own personality

And if you tire of people...do not isolate yourself

For if you live in a continual state of isolation
of the heart, caring for nothing but your own needs...

You will pass away your life in dreaming of
that which you do not possess

And you will lose your substance of spirit and power

And a desire locked up in the heart feeds on you life if you harbor it

And stored-up anger seeks an object on which to vent itself...

Put aside your attachment to the entity called
suffering

Honor yourself and others will honor you

Stop reacting for the needs of society

React for yourself

And you will feel the release of internal chains
as they drop away

Rely not on guidance from outside yourself

For although the black smoke of negativity may
engulf you at this moment...

Know that you will not always be its slave

For the very act of reaching for another state of being

And speaking a word of faith in the unseen will
tilt you away from any dark forces.

Seed Of The Fire Lily

For wisdom can help you transcend humanity
and its conditions and enter into the world of the divine.

But know that wisdom is not knowledge or inspiration, it is a phenomenal entity that grow in the heart

It is the growth of love...and love brings
insight, a different kind of knowing

For it makes you aware of things which cannot be seen with ordinary eyes. You will see what
cannot be seen; hear what cannot be heard...
Love makes the impossible, possible...Learn to love your life

Mere knowledge is ordinary...but wisdom of the heart is a miracle

For it is so easy to journey through life reacting
to every outside force that you encounter.

And blindly, you align with the roles your family, culture and gender have dictated to you

And although you are unique as a human entity,
still you battle with inner conflicts and secret fears

And you stagger along, unsure of who you are
or what you really want

And your life has become simply an act

For daily, you play your part...following your familiar script....

And under it all, an inner voice screams inside
you, longing to be heard: the sound of your true self....

Know that you are more resilient than you think...

Rekindle the old fires of hope, adaptability and control
that burn deep inside you.

Some may just glow like fading embers but they are still alive...

Do not be passive anymore, but take an active stance in your life
take charge of your problems

For there is nothing that cannot be changed or resolved through persistent effort.

And you have wells of inner strength that you haven't even tapped.

You are here today... that took strength

You made it through the roughest of times...that took strength...

For the human body is the temple in which the endless, ancient struggle takes place: good against evil...light against darkness.

The being known as Man has been sick for so long and he knows it.

For institutions such as family and religion seem to lie in ruins.

And they could have remained sacred if only their laws had been adapted to the real goals of human existence:

Freedom and awareness of a universal harmony of which men and women are an integral part.

For there are two destinies in the entity call Man:

One is a fruit that can perish

And the other is an ancient seed of intelligence which has limitless possibilities: The seed of the fire Lily

Man's evolution is eternal.

For you see the world by the reflected light of yourself and illumination arises from the heart....

The Mana Keepers

See that the loss of personal mana always results in illness
But the imbalanced body can be corrected by the use of herbs; gifts of the earth
Talk things out with the sufferer until his or her spirit is back on its true course
For both mind and body must be treated
And healing of the spirit must always come first...that is the ancient law of healing
Seek out the most useful plants from the mountains to the sea
And search the forests and talk to the spirits of the plants and trees
And the plant that stands alone...the one with the most perfect form should be the one chosen to give of its essence
For it contains the most mana
And learn patience from a tree...
For it is moved only by the outside force of the wind
And it grows and changes with infinite slowness
And it has learned to accept its limitations and wait...
And marvel at the symbols of the ocean
For a wave at its climax beats against the
shore...foaming and sinking its substance into the yielding sands in a glorious re-enactment of procreation
And tides will always govern your life as they ebb and flow
And when clouds of trouble hide your sun...let the friendly ocean cleanse
For burdens may be symbolically dropped into its churning depths and discarded forever as crested young waves rise up and swallow the old...
And the relentless sea dissolves all in
preparation for re-birth in a new form when the mana will pour into different molds
For tides bring in bounty...then ruthlessly sweep it out again... only to wash back in with new challenges, new gifts and new dreams like gems found on a beach
See the eternal pattern..
Flow with life's currents
Dare to ride on bold waves of change...out to uncharted waters
For there will always be singers on the shore to welcome you back to the safe arms of Earth

Releasing Fear Ho'oponopono Ritual

For most of us fear is our biggest block and it can manifest as generalized anxiety or daily fears. Fear has several parts, not trusting the self, false perception, past experience, feeling inadequate, which leads to fears that you won't be equal to your own life experience.

Just as an animal always remembers a hurt, the lower self retains the memories of both the emotional and physical injuries. If the hurt represents a pattern, example, a parent that was habitually hurtful, the fear may become a complex and lodge deep in the lower self.

Generalized fear presents a special challenge, sometimes one can not remember a traumatic incident. Journaling and dialoguing with the Lower self, one can begin to understand where their fear stems.

The traditional Hawaiian practice called ho'oponopono literally means "to put to rights" and refers to a family conference where relationships were set right through prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, mutual restitution, and forgiveness.

This is a valuable tool which is an ancient practice that remained in the Hawaiian culture after Christianity arrived and continued to be used in traditional families.

The ancient Hawaiians believed that illness and misfortune came from an imbalance in the relationships between people and between people and their gods. They believed that everything in life was related, and thus a problem between two family members was a problems for the whole group. The family also included the extended relations, adopted children and close friends.

A ho'oponopono session was often called when a family member became seriously ill. To the Hawaiian Kahuna working to heal a person, a negative entanglement of emotion could block the channel to the gods and made any work attempted with the patient ineffective. The session laid the groundwork for the Kahuna healer by revealing the source of the problem. Ho'oponopono was sometimes used before childbirth in a troubled family, because it was thought that discord was an obstacle that would hinder the baby's healthy birth.

The process of ho'oponopono is first the family is called together. Family members were expected to make every effort to attend the session and to travel long distances if necessary. Once the family was assembled, the process could take a few hours or it might last days or weeks with multiple sessions being needed. The senior member of the family directs, or if he or she was too involved to be objective, a family friend or a kahuna that was known by the family.

The session starts with a prayer addressed to the family's special guardians, asking that they be present and assist in the process. The rest of the ho'oponopono process follows in a ritualized form that includes definite steps. The steps are; identifying the problem, stating the transgression, discussion, identifying the negative entanglement, sharing of feelings, confession, releasing the problem, cutting off the problem, summary and reaffirmation of bonds, and closing prayer with a meal.

There were certain rules that were observed when going through these steps. Because the proceedings might be emotional, family members were encouraged to communicate through the leader and to avoid raising their voices in anger. Everyone was expected to make a sincere effort to reach the truth in a spirit of openness without hurting or insulting one another. If tempers flared during the session, the leader could call for a cooling off period before continuing.
Family members attempt to get to the root of the problems in a process similar to peeling an onion. Discussion of the problem invariably would lead to deeper and deeper layers of conflict. Once the problem was identified and discussed at length, the family found ways for the negative aspects to be released. This might involve a person making a confession as well as restitution. Then the problem was ritually released by everyone taking part. There was a reaffirmation of family ties and closing prayer and a meal.

Ho'oponopono is also used in Huna practice to clear out negativity and blocks so that prayer can be effective, and mana can flow to the Higher Self. Allan P. Lewis offers a general ho'oponopono to free the mind. It begins, Infinite Divine Creator, If I, my relatives, or ancestors did ever offend You or Your children by thought, word, or deed, from the beginning of Creation to the present, we sincerely ask forgiveness of You and all concerned. Forgive all our errors and offenses. Forgive all our guilt's and resentments. Forgive all blocks and attachments we ever created."

An individual ho'oponopono requires a great deal of mental preparation for it to be effective. Spend time with a journal writing your thoughts and feelings about the problem you are having. Be very honest with yourself. Go into the Silence and ask both your higher self and lower self for information about the problem. In other words, do the steps of ho'oponopono on your own, identifying, learning about, and fully fathoming your conflict. If you don't do this very important homework, and simply release the problems with a ritual, it may vanish for a time but will come right back. Going to the root of the conflict may involve seeking outside help. Do what you have to to restore harmony in your life. Once you have gone into it fully, find a way to take action on the physical plane to solve the problem. Make sure both your Higher, Lower and Middle selves are in agreement with your course of action.
To sum up ho'oponopono is an immensely useful ritual that can be used in the family, individually, and in many situation of conflict. The Hawaiian principles underlying it are:

Unresolved hurt, anger, shame or guilt can result in physical illness or other disharmony.

A problem between two family members affects the entire group.

Superficial conflicts are often symptomatic o hidden hurts.

Higher powers will assist those who work to resolve their difficulties.

There is strength in the shared purpose of a family working together to solve problems.

Sincere forgiveness and release negative emotional entanglement

Prayer is essential

Relationships can be healed.

Ano Ano by Kristin Zambucka

Pain accompainies all birth.

There is pain when we are born and there is pain when we are re-born as old facets of the personality die away...or are brutally torn out of our life pattern...to make way for the new.

In breaking down the old future, one's world
may seem to fall apart.

Trouble will enter the life like a storm...

A tempest will rage.

Do not resist...there is a balancing of power at work...for your new self is about to enter that world.

Though you may travel far you will meet only
what you carry with you, for every man is a mirror.

We see only ourselves reflected in those around
us.

Their attitudes and actions are reflections of our
own.

The whole world and its conditions has its
counterpart within us all.

Turn the gaze inward...correct yourself and
your world will change.

The Art Of Divination

The art of divination seems to baffle many. Yet, the evidence shows that it is possible for some to see the future and have knowledge of coming events, even though no one has ever been found to be one hundred percent accurate, which is also baffling for scientists. So, the question many might carry is why some predictions are accurate and why some are less accurate.

Divination is a strong practice of the Kahuna and all those that are adepts use it to some degree. It is part of the Kahuna training and not surprising that the main root of the word in Hawaiian is wanana, which means to observe patterns of time.

Past events consist of events which have occurred, and the future consist of events which have not occurred. So, the present consists of events which are occurring and being perceived.

Some say, that the present is an illusion because time is a continuous flow from past to future and scientists say the present is merely an interface between past and future. The Kahuna believes the present involves the span of events which one is in the process of perceiving and which you can interact. The Kahuna sees a bigger view of the present which is more in line with our perceptions.

The past is what we remember, as if you were to ask your children or family members of events, you would find that each have a different twist to what has occurred. The Kahuna ideas is that divination is outwardly the time that comes after, the result, the consequence, which indicates the Kahuna teaching is that the future is a result of what goes on in the present. The Kahuna teach that the present is the fruit of the past and the seed of the future and therefore, observing the present one can predict the future.

Every change in thought or act influences new variables that can change the course of the outcome and future. The Kahuna knew even by expressing a prediction can change the outcome. The more information about the present, the more accurate the prediction. So, when one opens up and doesn't limit their information the telepathy and clairvoyance flows in order to gather information and the resources.

Divination consists of expanding one's awareness to see the unseen aspects of the present and the daily knowledge. Gathering psychic information is a subconscious process and information doesn't have to be made available to the conscious mind.

The process of psychic prediction is somewhat an ability to estimate the future and sends this to the conscious mind to form words and images. This is why many say, well how do I know if this is just me speaking?

Predicting is more accurate when the near future is gathered from what seeds have come before. A Kahuna that is a diviner has the ability to receive and interpret information without judgment. The more a Kahuna can do this, the more accurate his seeing abilities are.

Divination is used also in healing to check the course of an illness, a treatment and its outcome. This same information gathered he/she can give advice for direction.

Once a kahuna has seen the probable results of the moments thoughts and actions, he/she can introduce new variables so as to change the outcome.

Awareness

The Kahunas have several ways of perceiving reality. This follows the concept that we live in a multidimensional universe and that different effects and experiences can be achieved by shifting our focus from one dimension to another. The dimensions are thought to coexist, so that moving from one to another involves a shift in our attention.

The first level of attention would be our physical experience. This is our daily life realm, where sight, sound, touch, taste, feeling, and smell are taken in. This is an awareness is only considered partial awareness. This awareness has a sense of objective experience, separateness between objects, people and events.

The second level of attention, is our psychic experience. In this awareness there is objective experience, just not as defined, due to the fact one can communicate with the environment and influence it ,this would not be possible in the first level. Subjectivity is more important here, but it is used in a way that acts on the outer world. In this level of awareness one can use mental techniques to create objective events.

The third level of awareness, is a state of relativity. There is time, space, matter, energy, plants, animals that become relative concepts which are all interacting. This state is not action oriented , they are more information oriented. This would be a state where a kahuna could learn of the true nature of an illness, to shift to the second state and perform a psychic healing and shift again to the first and give herbal treatment or do a ritual to impress the one involve to heal.

The forth level of awareness, is of the mystical and universal oneness. This could be considered cosmic consciousness and could alter the way one looks at life and how one can act or can decide to act, it is subjective and cannot be used in a practical way. Example given by King is "if a Kahuna without any means of physical protection, were faced with a man-eating lion, he could use the second level to telepathically influence the lion to leave him alone, and he could shift to third level to determine why he allowed himself to get into such a situation and learn how to change this thinking so as not to do it again." As he shifts to the fourth level of awareness he would understand that he and the lion were united in the bigger picture of things and whatever happened would be right and good in the eyes of the universe. However, if he relied on that state alone, he would probably be eaten.

Take time to learn the 4 levels of awareness, for in Huna this is a most important understanding to learn.

Good & the bad

The Kahuna approach to good, bad or evil is that there is no parallel in Huna as an evil being, such as in Christianity where there is an existence of Satan who tempts souls from living up to the standards of God. The Kahuna considers Satan as an idea of man. The teaching of Huna is that everyone is responsible for their own actions and the results of those actions. In Huna there is no teaching of sin or sinning against God, for God's laws, by their nature cannot be sinned against without ramifications. However, this does not mean that one cannot commit bad or evil act.
The words in Hawaiian used to translate sin explain the Kahuna teaching. Hala, to err by omission. It means missing of the path, or failure in what needs to be done, a mistake, an error in judgment. The word hewa, which is the mistake of going beyond limits, excess or something that is too much and out of balance. The word used that is the closest to evil is ino, where something is done with the intention of hurting another. Intention is the key here and only the individual who commits the act can actually judge what he/she has done. Intent makes the difference. The only universal sin in Huna is violence to life, that includes to intentionly harm life, be it plants, animals, Earth, or people.
There are no commandments in Huna. There is logic. If you commit an act of violence, you will receive violence. If you give love, you will receive love. Everything is one, whole and thus, it follows that you cannot commit violence unless you feel violent about oneself, you cannot hate, without hating the self. If you want growth in your life, love, for love is growth and the more you focus and practice in love of self, to the same degree you will grow and be in joy.
The Hawaiian word for love is Aloha and it means more then hello or goodbye, it means to be happy with, to grow in unity, share your experience, its a way of acting towards each other, watchful alertness, truthful honesty, humility, patient perseverance. Love is an energy growth and happiness.
Emotions to the Kahuna is a movement of energy through the body or excitement, whether it be anger or joy and thoughts are what start up the emotion and a change of thought can change your emotions.

Beliefs

Kahuna,s believed that, belief was the fundamental basis for the experience of any reality and that our experience is conditioned by what we believe, and thus we can only experience what we do believe is possible at some level of our consciousness. The more we believe something, the more profoundly it affects our experience.
For the Kahuna healer, the big task was to get people to change their beliefs from unhealthy to healthy ones.
There are 3 types of beliefs, that can be maintained at the same time, assumption, (paulele), this belief is a belief in which one has no doubts, and the experience is consistent with what one believes, attitude (kauana) which are beliefs that have room for doubt but which are so habitual that they continue to influence ones experience, and opinion (mana'o), which is a belief that is easily changed in the light of new knowledge and brings joy.
The saying "you create your own reality" is the belief of the Kahuna and the kinds of reality you create can also be classified into three categories, subjective and, objective, and projective.
Your subjective reality refers to ones personal sense of what is right, proper, good, moral, correct, successful and useful. It is your judge who has the greatest influence on your health, positive or negative. It is not just a difference of opinion, it is a difference in subjective experience.
Your objective reality deals with substance and facts and the way things seem to be regardless of attitude or opinion in the material world. This belief is easily changed through different interpretations.
Your third type of reality, is due to vibration. This reality begins with subjective and turns objective through mental projection. It is a reality where one creates or share in creating a purpose, bringing your desire from the idea to manifestation in your physical experience.
The Kahuna's did not see reality as something outside the self, but treated all parts as a psychological state.
In Huna, light was a symbol for energy and awareness and the basic idea behind this is that a healthy productive life is connected with a continual increase in awareness. Also the movement of water and water itself was a symbol of life to the Kahunas. So, as perceived by the Kahunas light and life are things that flow and move in cycles.
Though many practitioners bring attention to the after-life, the Kahuna was more focused on the experience of the present life, for the present life experience was a review of the life one has lived and renewal of old acquaintances, and for new growth. The dream plane is another state where we visit and we are free from the body and limitation, a multi -dimensional state of existing as well.
Huna is being aligned with a frequency to gain certain kinds of experience and communicating between the dream state and the waking state which is possible because a person exists in both at the same time, and both are involved in the process of awareness.
You can change your beliefs by exploring past lives or by exploring your present life. To the kahuna both were not separate but important for healing.

Thought Forms & Positive Speech

Every thought carries a vibration in the Middle Self and it becomes even stronger when there is emotion behind it. This is why many of our more negative thoughts manifest more often then our positive ones.
Thoughts that are held by a group also manifest quickly due to the amount of emotion by numbers.
Thoughts have a substance and an effect and the spoken word has power. The Hawaiians took seriously the spoken word for it brought a manifestation of assistance or harm.

It is wise to practice working with your Lower self, in thinking and speaking with positive wording. This is a very powerful tool when creating your future. Most of our speaking is negative. Our attention will naturally focus on what is not right verses what is. Strong programming from our childhood, cultures and societies that support our negative speech.

Your Lower self is always listening, just as your own children listen. The vibration of the negative words move through the cells in your body and can make the difference in one being healthy or ill.

Awareness is key to changing your speech, so listening would be your first step to change. Ask your Lower self to cooperate with helping your family within use positive speech and ask that your Higher Self also to assist you. Then listen to yourself when you speak, and when you find yourself speaking negatively replace it with positive statements. You are not to judge yourself, this listening is to observe the habitualness of what is being played out and listened to, in your Lower self. When you hear another using negative speech, counter it with a positive statement.

This is not an easy practice and takes much time as you realize the conditioning of seeing pain and misery and how the habit of seeing the negativity everywhere.

Many might feel this is not a more real way, or that they are not able to express their true feelings. The fact is, you'll become your true positive feelings. Everyone becomes angry and there is nothing negative about that. The kahuna knew and understood their emotions and processed them in constructive ways and strong feelings are not negative, and can be expressed without destruction. Beware of anything that you notice within your speech that is habitual because this is a reinforcer of your thoughts.
If you hear from within negative expressions, even sarcasm this is sending a mixed message to your Lower self. Example using the word "trying or should". This implies guilt and is in conflict with the Lower and Middle selves. Make sure when you are practicing positive speech that you don't feel guilt. Think about other ways to phrase and in time these will become your habitual speech. Also, exaggerations, ask your Lower self to stay away from words that inflate.
We all carry contradictions. These again carry confusion to the Lower self. If you have a perspective or point of view, just simply state it. You don't have to argue your point with another, just let it go. Using words such as "I know" also expresses you are having trouble understanding the communication that is going on.
Gratitude raises mana in both one who is thankful and thanking. When this is sincerely expressed it reinforces positive outcomes. This includes thanking your Sources and the beauty around you.
Positive speech also is a strong protector from psychic attacks, as is strengthens the Lower self. Constant negativity drains the mana from the aura and thus weakens the aura for psychic attack.
As you clean out the negativity in the Lower self you create a healthy and strong mind.
When learning to practice positive speech, just listen to yourself as much as possible and redirect your expressions. Remember words hold substance and this practice can change your life, and change the world.

The Power Of Prayer

Prayer is one of the most powerful tools and connections you have. It is not begging, it is about co-creating, communication with Source, and the transference of love between you and your Sources. It is process of action-intention.

In Huna prayer is of the greatest importance and when Mana is flowing without any blocks your intentions for assistance or to resolve an issue are heard.

The 3 selves play an important part in prayer. The Lower self gathers the mana which is needed to for the Higher self. The Middle self uses the will and intention and creates the prayer or request and directs the mana. The Higher self manifests the results and again stating, the Higher self must have a great deal of mana to manifest, especially if the request is for a physical or material outcome.

Mana can only be gathered and sent from the Lower self (child) when it is cooperation between the selves. I like to describe it as the child somewhat speaks for the family, so it is most important that the Lower self (child) is not holding complexes about the worthiness of the family within. If the Lower self holds guilt, fear, or negative opinion the seeds of prayer fall to the wayside or if Mana is low, there will be not enough mana to send to the Higher self and the Lower self (child) will feel too ashamed to address the Higher Self (grandparent) for the request and this is why the clearing of blocks in the selves is imperative for manifestation.

In a prior post, I spoke of ways to clear blocks, forgiveness, positive speech, thoughts, clearing negative opinions and self image, erasing the effects of past in the present and in childhood and of course in some cases seeking assistance from another that works in Higher Self Therapy or energy work.

When your awareness increases you will have greater understanding of the workings of your selves and reteaching the Lower self ( child) creates for a loving relationship between your Lower and Middle Selves and for some the 3 selves will be operating as one being.

Huna is a path to self discovery, having to look beneath the surface inward, outward in many directions. It is embracing more of your heart, running out doubt, and uncovering the beauty of you and your uniqueness.

When creating a prayer it need be done with attention for emphasizing any lack of anything is not effective, so clear wording that is positive and in the highest good for all involved is necessary. When creating your prayer it is MOST important to not interfere in the free will of another and there is a fine line there, especially for those that do healing! To visual and send pray in a picture can be very powerful, and those that have trouble visualizing they can hold intention to the goal. In creating your prayer it is also important to release needing to know how it will manifest, for your Higher Self will take care of this.

The fuel behind manifestation is the breath, that Ha breath, as well as your emotional field. Let me share this experience with you.

I was in my healing room and the ceilings were low, and there is a ceiling fan that I keep running during certain times to create a comfortable atmosphere. I reached my hand up to pull mana, and the fan blade struck my hand. Was very painful and left a mark. I without thinking placed my left hand over my hurt hand and using the breath pulled the energy into both hands, all while trying not to cry. I also stated with great emotion, "In our world everything heals instantly" and for 5 seconds I held no doubt. I lifted my hand off the injured hand, and the mark and pain GONE! I realized then, that the emotion and visualization, the brief period of no doubt, (which is the cooperation of all the selves working together) and the pulling of the Mana was the formula and in sync with Source and thus the healing instantaneously took place and the greater the offering with heart, the quicker the prayer is met.

Summary:

To have your prayer take hold, you need strong intention, mana, and no blockages.

The Lower self must be free from guilt, fear or shame.

Good formulated prayer (clear request), without lack.

Usage of the breath.

As you start to progress in your practice of self discovery, you may perhaps experience other forms of healing, various forms of astral traveling, etc....I will not be addressing those at this time for many reasons.

The Beauty Of Union

A picture says a thousand words~

When I reflect upon this picture I see how the world could be. The beauty of the mixture of color, the beauty of the respect for one another, the beauty in showing honor to our elders and the children. The beauty in the reaching out and acknowledgement of each other's being. " I see you", so accurately written in Avatar. I see oneness.

Really, there is no other teaching more powerful than this. ♥

The Cords That Bind♥

There is a word in Hawaiian which defines cords of energy that bind us together. It is the word aka which means shadow, essence or shadow spirit. In metaphysics it might be described as astral or etheric line of energy. Everything and the 3 selves, even thoughts have an aka substance that reaches and makes connections between people and things. An aka cord can connect a person to an object and distance does not matter. It is somewhat a phone line that allows for a telepathic communication to take place.
In Huna the aka cord is important, because through life one makes aka cord connections between things, places and people. A cord can be created thoughts, words or action and the Lower selves can communicate between each other.
When I give an energy treatment, I can communicate with the child or Lower self of another, as well as Middle and Higher self, and this is the way I can assist the being in unblocking their path so mana will flow for them and create wellness.
Many times I am sure you have experienced thinking about someone, and all of a sudden they call and you find out they were also thinking about you. This is how the information travels through the aka cord. Sometimes you might be angry with another, and not voice this anger, and then you find out that this person has become ill. For people who practice Huna there is no coincidence that the angered energy has traveled through the aka cord to the person.
Cutting or removing cords that run between people for the two to start a new beginning is important. There are cords that are acceptable and those that are not and are manipulative. A child will cord the parent naturally to learn and access information, this is acceptable, but as the child moves into adulthood the cords if not removed can become burdensome, and manipulation can take place. Also, you see cords created through relationships that are abusive. You will hear typically that the one being abused continues to go back to the abuser, this is because there is cording that has not been removed. It's somewhat like pulling a Dandelion, and if you don't get the root, it grows back. This is the same in cording. People tend to cord each other in the same weakened spot, so removing cords need to be done regularly through an energy worker. People that work in a more serving support fields usually are loaded with cords, such as teachers, nurses, doctors, social workers, psychologists, healers, etc... Again, these cords need to be removed as they tend to take away mana or life force.
Summarizing; Everything has aka substance.
Aka is like a phone line that stretches and is sticky and distance isn't limited.
Aka cords are created through thoughts, words and actions and you form aka cords with people, objects and places.
It is important to cut aka cords when the cording no longer serves you.
Thoughts have aka substance and can have a material effect throughout the universe.
Note: all people have corded someone at one time or another! Until you are aware of what is happening people are not really intending to do this. Cording that is manipulative of course are the types of cords healers as myself are concerned with removing.
I will give you an example of cording. The college student calls their mother for money each week, and each week the mother gives in to the wants of her daughter. She voices her anger, and tells herself and others that she will not give her another cent. The call comes again from her daughter, and again she gives her the money. The mother is confused for she can not understand her behavior and why she continues to give her daughter the money. This is because the daughter has corded her in the 1st chakra which is where many children chord their parents. The 1st charkra is the root or foundation and children will cord in the lower chakra's or energy centers. Once the cord is removed the mother would see that she would have no problems saying no to her daughters requests. She would also find out that the energy after cutting the cord or twisting it out carefully like a weed, that she has more energy and her daughter also has more energy.
Keep in mind that every positive thought adds to the storage of positivity in the universe, and every negative thought adds to the storage of negativity in the universe.

Getting the Selves Together

The key to having your 3 selves work together is love. When a relationship of love is established all 3 selves feel loved and valued, which helps the being along their path.
It is most important to work with the everyday emotions that come up through the Lower self, Identifying and processing the emotions and allowing your Middle self to analyze, observe and use it's logic without going over the line. As the 3 selves flow together and become one and the Middle self determines the direction the being will go, the Lower self manifests, and the Higher self gives the Divine guidance, and transformation slowly takes place as the 3 selves are woven together in love.
In matters of mana, the 3 selves must work together to gather, take in, direct and use it. When one tries to "will" something to happen through the Middle self, they will see how hard this is. Or wanting something to happen on an emotional level (with the Lower self, alone) will not bring it into reality, because there is no mana to create a new physical reality. In Huna, intention and mana go hand in hand to get the effect you desire. This formula consists of; stating your intention clearly (Middle self), free the Lower self from beliefs that hinder it; gather the mana through the breath, and manifesting can take place.
In prior post, I wrote about the steps to manifesting.
Mana is gathered everyday from the food you eat, drink, air you breathe. The mana is used to bring power to the Lower Self and it must be replenished daily. Any excess mana goes to manifesting your goals and this is done from the Higher self level. In order for the Lower self to be able to gather mana and to run a healthy body and manifest in the physical world it must not have mana depleted by stress, crippling emotions , excessive physical drains. Illness also can be the result of low mana, as the vibration of the germs are higher than the bodies vibration.
Mana cannot flow from the Lower self when there is a blocked path due to a limiting attitude or assumption, or conflict held by the Lower self. Energy flows like a channel, and if there is an obstacle, such as an idea or belief this can block the path of energy. Example might be that one has a negative belief about money that might have been established in childhood which blocks you from prosperity. Once the belief is identified, other awareness can come such as the holding of guilt about a particular situation and once the belief is cleared the channel opens for the mana to flow, producing opportunities for money.
To accumulate mana you can do the deep Ha breathing, or you can even absorb it through nature, such as taking a walk in the woods, near an ocean, or hiking in the mountains. Certain sounds and music gather mana. Whatever enhances the body increases mana. Eating healthy, exercising, meditation, positive thinking. Having meaningful work, having a good relationship with people around you and being of service all gather mana. Of course drugs, poor diet, alcohol, stress negativity drains the being of mana.
The goal of the kahuna was to guard their mana so it could be used for healing and protection. Kahunas know the importance of building and conserving mana and many lived in isolation where they could spend time praying and gathering mana.
Once you accumulate a good deal of mana the mana is stored in the body and manifests as physical vigor and good mental attitude or can be directed to flow into another for healing, an animal, tree, or even for the world.
Mana can also be stored into substances to make a talisman. It can be directed into metals, stones, wood , salt which charges it, and oils. Stones can become powerful healing tools and protective tools.
Being successful in Huna involves gathering mana everyday and eliminating obstacles to free the passage among the Selves.

The 3 selves

The Middle self (the parent), is the self that is conscious, can reason, uses logic, makes the decisions. You would feel most familiar with this self, for it is the one that is experienced in the head. This self is to keep an ongoing inner monologue of thoughts and words. The Middle self is more the parent of your family which would set goals for the family, and uses intellect. It analyzes and evaluates. It works with the outside world based on the data that it has downloaded. It can feel love and emotions, but mostly operates in logic. The Middle self helps the Lower self (child) rationalize things, for when you see a person where the Middle self has been run out of the body, you find much mental illness, due to the fact that there is basically a child left alone within the being with no parenting.
Many people have a strong Middle self. It would be those that would come across as "in the head", they are brilliant, but don't have good sense and their wisdom or practicality are not developed. Many people look up to them as being bright, as interesting as that is. Some people come to work with this self, for perhaps it hasn't been as developed in other periods or there is a wound there that needs to be cleared.
The Middle self does have the tendency to believe it is running the body and feels separate from the other selves, as it can have it's own agendas. But, it is very limited and needs the Lower self to access information that it can not understand, such as love, or Source.
The Middle self is most important as all the selves are. It keeps the Lower self safe and connected in to the outer world, or for instance the Lower self might remember a time when the being did not have form and could fly, and therefore the Middle self would remind the Lower self that this would not be a wise decision to try to fly off the roof. As the Middle self with sees the wisdom in integrating with the Lower self, or acknowledging it, it sees that the being is able to operate at a much more of an expanded functioning. The Middle self needs the Lower self and the Lower self needs the Middle. You the Middle self, learn to parent your child within.
The Lower Self (child)
Runs the whole body, organs, nervous system, immune system, senses, memory, instinct survival, emotions etc... It takes information from it's parent (Middle self) on the environment of the being. The Lower self is always awake and active. It loves to serve the parent or Middle self, however, as in a family sometimes it will not cooperate if the Lower self feels something is not moral. It is the one that speaks to the Source, so it is the one that makes sure the selves are in a right place, and a place of pureness. The Lower self, holds past lives, really the talents and gifts of the being. It holds and utilizes the life force or mana to perform all functions. It learns through repetition. It moves toward pleasure verse pain, therefore habits are formed in the Lower self. It also feels shame, guilt, fear, and hides these from the Middle self. Communication is done with pictures and symbols. It holds the love and love of self. Because it is referred to as the Lower self, there is nothing lower about it, for it is a powerful part of your beings make up. Getting to know your lower self, or child within and creating a dialog with this self is most important for happiness. What I find fascinating is that as we have our own children, we can see exactly how to work with our own child within. So, establishing a strong bond and relationship with your own child brings much awareness to the workings of your being. Any problems or issues must be worked out in this self and exploring and eliminating blocks, assumptions and fears within your lower self leads to the accumulation of mana.
Higher Self (Grandparent)
I call the Higher Self the grandparent self. It is dual in nature having both masculine and feminine poles. It is the beings God within. Its trustworthy and paired with spirit. It is your connection to your higher source. It is the guide and is not easily accessed for some for this reason. It functions with spirit guides, angels, guardians etc... It has insight, absolute love, and inspiration. It is the healer, and its understanding unlimited. It will not interfere with the Middle and Lower selves until cooperation has been made. It works with Divine will and will only help when asked. When it is given through the Lower self the mana it can act with manifestation. It has the intuition. It will become involved when the being is in danger. It is the self that transforms the being. As long as communication does not become blocked by assumptions or fears from the Lower self it will be always available to help. Your Higher self always tells the truth and will lead the being when asked.
Now that you have been given a brief understanding of the 3 selves, you can learn more about them by observing. Watching your own family dynamics in your outer world will also give you clues as to the workings of your family within. For instance the Lower self or child is always in the present, as a child would in the outer world.
If you are feeling anxiety, sit for a moment and ask your child within what problem it is having. Ask your inner child its name, and learn to parent your child. As this is done, you will find there is a shift within your body to calmness, as your child is being listened too. Now, your Middle self can come in and counsel the child, as you would in the outer world. But remember, it will take a constant counseling because the child must be taught with repetition or it continues to repeat what it believes. Again no different from your own children. It will not respond well to punishment either and remember the lower self has the memory of the being.
The first focus would be in working together is to take time to and attention to the workings of the 3 selves through observing different people in your outer world, or the dynamics in your own family. You might observe a person who appears more logical or those who ignore the Higher self wisdom or promptings, or those that are very focused on the material and things which would be the imbalance of the Lower self or a person who denies the body, which would be an imbalance in the Higher self.
Know thy selves, and watch your life shift! ♥

Huna, Spiritual Knowledge

During these times of expansion I decided to write about a system called Huna that would help those through their life and their transitions.

Working in the alternative field, I just can't say enough about Huna and how the learning of the ancients can change your life.

In the next blogs my focus will be to share information on the knowledge of Huna for those who wish to continue in learning. Huna means secret, and its core is Hawaiian.
The concept of Aloha is at the heart of Huna, which expresses that everything responds to love, compassion and kindness. It connects us to our God self.

Balance is also a concept of Huna and for your life to be flowing in its expanded form it is necessary to work to achieve. This balance relates to all parts of nature, elements, and all things. Balance also speaks of our yin and yang, our male and female aspects which bring harmony. To the Hawaiians for someone to throw things out of balance was looked upon as a violation or what the Hawaiians call Kapu. To the individual this could create bad luck, illness, or unhappiness, until the person made right. When an imbalance would take place the Kahuna would look to find the source and when it was discovered the Kahuna would work using nature, elements and spirit to restore balance.

Another basic concept of Huna is the breath, called Ha breath, meaning breath of life, life force. When a Kahuna would transition he or she would pass on their knowledge through the breathe, by breathing into the student. Many pass the Mana (life force) on to the family member by breathing into the mouth or top of the head. This transference can also be done to objects. So, the breath is a core practice in Huna.

The word Kahuna in old Hawaii was defined as a master/expert in some field. There were medical Kahunas, ship building Kahunas, massage, surfing, poetry, story telling, prophecy Kahunas, etc... The individual was trained in a particular field for many many years. In more present day the word Kahuna is used more in reference to a spiritual teacher, as would a shaman, or priest.

Kahuna knowledge was kept in secret and passed orally to students who were selected for their natural gifts and abilities. There are different variations of practices due to the particular lineage. Each Kahuna had their own guide or God called an Aumakua. So, Kahuna teaching will differ depending on family line but will hold all the same core beliefs.

After the Christian missionaries came to Hawaii, the Kahuna practices were made illegal, and therefore the Hawaiians did not want to share the knowledge due possible imprisonment and some other reasons. Many of the teachings were lost and stay hidden with some of the families.

The concept of Huna is dialoging with the 3 selves within, which can bring an individual to balance, resolution , releasing of emotional blocks and to well-being.

The study of Huna helps one who is ready to take responsibility for their life and wishes to expand to their higher level of being.

The focus today is on the medical Kahuna, who uses him or/herself as a bridge between worlds. The Kahuna's believe that a cause of sickness could come from one's own actions, outside, a curse or from problems in the family and therefore if one is sick in the family, all are treated. The belief is that there is no separation between a problem in the body, mind or emotions.
In Huna there are 3 selves or minds, low, middle, and Higher self. To give you an idea of the family within, the lower self might be considered the child or unconscious mind, the middle self might be considered the parent or conscious mind, and the Higher self might be considered the super conscious or grandparent. When the selves are all flow and are working with each other you find that manifestation can take hold and there is balance and harmony. It is most important that this balance be had for well being and happiness. If one self is not recognized or ignored, problems start, illness and dysfunction. Understanding how the selves relate to each other is the basis of Huna and working them all into communication. It is much like being in a family in the material world, very much the same workings and problems go on.
There are different places in your body that these selves can be felt, the Lower self can be felt in the solar plexus, the Middle self, in the head, and the Higher self, above the body.
Here is another example of the importance of knowing the selves within. Lets say you want to learn a new language. Your Middle self, (parent) will be all about that, your Lower self (child) will find it not very fun at all because it like to play, Your Higher self (grandparent) will not get involved until the two Lower and Middle selves come to agreement. So, for instance you make a commitment to learn a new language, open your book, and you start to drift off to sleep. You might not understand what is going on for each time you go to read and learn you just can't seem to stay awake. This is because the Lower self (child), runs the body, and child and parent don't always agree on what needs to be done. If you have children, then you know it is very hard to force a child to do anything unless you are able to rationalize the situation for them. So, a solution to your problem might be to recognize that this learning a new language need to be made fun in order for the Lower self to cooperate. As you might with your own children, some people allow them to play first, but homework must be done at a certain time, or the reverse. Once the Lower self has a agreement with the Middle self, what you'll find is magical. You spend sometime doing a fun activity, or make a game out of learning and you realize you are no longer falling asleep and this is because the two selves are now cooperating. Once the two selves are cooperating, now the Higher self or grandparent can step in to add the finishing manifestation and helps keep you to your agreements you have made before coming to the planet. This is just a simplification of how the process works of course.
Huna is a life long learning and way of living, so it is not something that can be learned or read about to "get".
My next blog will give more information on the selves and their workings. I hope that this will encourage people to look in to Huna to benefit them during these special times!

Mana

Mana i ka pua
ua mohala malie.
(There is mana in the flower
that has blossomed slowly.)
Mana is universal energy. Mana is the energy that is the fuel of our life, and without it, we would not live.
Mana can not be labeled good or evil, because it "is". Mana can be used to create or destroy, keep order or create chaos. It is in all things, all kingdoms, mineral, plant, animal, element, human. Mana can be directed in flow and direction. The word Mana means "thought" but according to the code of the Kahuna it is soul and the soul is one mind, and so you are what you believe. Mana is also breathe and the mind. In Hawaiian the word breath is ha ,which means to exhale, or to breathe life upon.
There is a technique for increasing mana within your body and it is called Ha breathing. You exhale saying the word Ha and as you exhale you envision extending your breath outward into infinity, and hold this for a few seconds, then you inhale deeply, and start to extend your navel outward, hold this for a few seconds, and continue this until your mind relaxes and become calm.
Power comes to a person when they embody more of their heart and develop their talents over time. A person who is empowered makes things happen naturally. In increasing Mana you gain charisma to lead and inspire others and by increasing the Mana creates a stronger energy that pulls people to you. Breathing meditation is a way of increasing Mana and creates clearness of mind.
When your mind is calm you are able to see how your thoughts and your actions of yourself and others affect your energy and affect your experience. Calmess of body and clearness of vision allows you to connect with the universal supply of Mana. When you do breathing meditiation you open to the power of the universe through your breath and you are filled with Mana. When you are flowing with the universal forces Mana flows, and so your power.

Rainbow Warriors

In Hawaiian mythology the rainbow is
sacred because it is believed that this is the path taken between worlds.
It was taught that the rainbow carried messages from the world of spirit to the world of death.
Death was considered transformation to the ancients and that the soul must take this path in order to move between the Earth and to expanded realms of the ancestors.
Those of us that can move back and forth between these worlds are considered Gods who live in human form as they enjoy their life on Earth.
Rainbow Warriors are those that are connected by the flame , or that which is spiritual , which stand for equality, love and love of the Earth. They are those who are willing to fight doubt, fear, artificial status, in order to walk the path.
People of the Rainbow Family are from all walks of life, who remember the ancient wisdom of all cultures, and use this wisdom to have those remember the laws of oneness and they will teach the wisdom of oneness to those that can not remember.
It is the time for all to allow the light to shine upon any parts of ourselves that do not express oneness.
We are all undergoing transformation, expansion, and the embracing of more heart, which is our true power and being.
It is good to remember during stormy times the rainbow is present behind the clouds.
